An early 2000's home shirt design from Japan. The Japanese football squad started the new millennium in style as, as they defeated Saudi Arabia to become champions of the 2000 AFC Asian Cup. A close 1-0 victory in the final marked their second time lifting the Asian Cup in 8 years. Midfielder Hiroshi Nanami was named the best player of the tournament, while strikers Akinori Nishizawa and Naohiro Takahara both scored 5 goals in 6 games.
The Japanese football team is known as the "Samurai Blue," and this home kit design honors the heritage. The white folded collar and neckline fabric is accented by distinct red stripes. Red stripes also separate white fabric on the shoulders from the blue body of the shirt. The island nation's flag appears just above the center of the chest.
This jersey has been remade with impeccable attention to detail. It features the same collar, sleeving, ridges, and embroidery as the original.
Printing is done in the original style, as close to the authentic font and color as possible. If the jersey originally had the number printed on the front we will print this unless instructed otherwise.
Please check the measurements carefully as most people find they require a size up. The jerseys have a slim or muscle fit.
