The first home kit design of a new millenium for Boca Juniors, which was marked by prolific success in the 2000-01 season. Martin Palermo and Juan Roman Riquelme were a fantastic partnership in attack, and Boca remarkably triumphed over Real Madrid in the Intercontinetal Cup final. But their achievment prompted Spanish club Villareal to move for Palermo in January of 2001, and he departed from the Argentine league halfway through the season. Still, Boca went on to win the Apertura title, and the Copa Libertadores.
This 2000-01 design honours the club's reputation for Azul y Oro, "blue and gold" style. A single, wide golden stripe runs across the centre of the body, in a classic template for Boca home kits. Gold colour stripes also outline the bottom half of the kit, while deep navy fabric distinguishes the flanks. Argentine brewery Quilmes was an iconic sponsor for Boca, and this design marked their last year of partnership with timeless style.
Printing is done in the original style, as close to the authentic font and color as possible. If the jersey originally had the number printed on the front we will print this unless instructed otherwise.
Please check the measurements carefully as most people find they require a size up. The jerseys have a slim or muscle fit.
