A striking away kit design from River Plate, worn in the 1995-96 season. The Buenos Aires club famously won the Copa Libertadores in this campaign, despite finsihing mid-table the league. Local talent Hernán Crespo enjoyed a prolific campaign in the continental cup, scoring 10 goals and assisting once in 13 appearances, as the marquee man in the trophy. His output attracted thee interest of Italian club Parma, and he transferred to play in Europe at the end of the season.
Bright red makes up the body of the shirt in this 1995-96 design. White and black fabric spread downward from the shoulders, in a vertical stripe pattern that cuts off just above the midsection. The white, black, and red stripes combine in a stylish folded collar. Quilmes was an iconic sponsor for many Argentine clubs, and hallmarked River Plate's Copa Libertadores glory in this campaign.
