A mid 90s design from Japan, originally worn at the football tournament of the 1996 Olympics in the USA. Japan impressed early on by defeating Brazil 1-0 in their opening game. Despite winning two of their three group stage games, Japan's +0 goal difference meant they missed out on advancing to the knockout stages, finishing behind Brazil and Nigeria.
The Japanese football team is known as the "Samurai Blue," and this home kit design honors the heritage. The simple blue body of the shirt features a fiery touch of flair wrapping around each sleeve. The white folded collar fabric is accented by distinct red stripes. The island nation's flag appears on the left side of the chest, completing this retro Japanese football style.
This jersey has been remade with impeccable attention to detail. It features the same collar, sleeving, ridges, and embroidery as the original.
Printing is done in the original style, as close to the authentic font and color as possible. If the jersey originally had the number printed on the front we will print this unless instructed otherwise.
Please check the measurements carefully as most people find they require a size up. The jerseys have a slim or muscle fit.
